When you employ KMA you will be given peace of mind knowing we have an active legal forwarding department. Each year tens of thousands of dollars are recovered through the implementation of the legal process. If approved by our clients, we will regularly review accounts to be forwarded for pre-legal and/or litigation. We will assist in the preparation by obtaining information as to individual’s available assets.

KMA has established extensive relationships with a network of attorneys throughout the United States and internationally. These attorneys are experienced in handling all commercial and consumer credit and collection related issues and can efficiently handle litigation in any court in the country.

Accounts that are placed in Attorney-legal collections will be scrubbed by KMA for bankruptcies, deceased, address and phone number. Once this obtained and information is verified the account will be forwarded to a qualified debt collection attorney. The attorney will begin making demands for payment upon receipt of account. The attorney ensures all demands for payment will be in compliance with local, state and federal laws. If the debtor does not settle the account and/or make arrangements to do so within the time specified by the attorney, the attorney will make their recommendation as to filing suit.

  • Pre-Litigation: Attorneys will minimize legal actions by pursuing collection efforts they deem appropriate, prior to filing suit.
  • Litigation: If pre-litigation is not effective and/or does not deliver the results warranted, upon your attorney’s recommendation and your authorization, attorneys will quickly and efficiently file suit on your behalf in the appropriate jurisdiction.
  • Post Judgments Collections: After judgment is obtained against the debtor all remedies allowable by law will be used to effectuate collections and obtain payment. Methods of enforcement may include a levy and/or sheriff’s sale of personal belongings/property, a lien on real estate, seizure of funds in bank accounts and possible wage garnishment of income.
KMA’s legal forwarding department will monitor the account through the entire legal process. Attorneys are not employed by KMA and do not work directly or indirectly for KMA. Both are separate entities functioning in their own capacity as debt collectors attempting to recover a debt for their mutual Client. You and the attorney shall be free at all times to communicate directly with one another. You also have the right to require return of the account, or referral to another attorney of your choosing at any time.
